BHCH Foundation is a non-profit, non-political, and non-religious social organization dedicated to empowering vulnerable children, youth and women through education. Its core mission is to break the cycle of poverty by providing equitable access to quality education and essential development support to socially backward and marginalized communities in Nepal.
Legally, the Foundation operates as a company not distributing profit, registered under the Companies Act 2006 at the Office of the Company Registrar, Tripureshwar, Kathmandu. It is also duly affiliated with the Social Welfare Council (SWC) and maintains its registered office in Chandragiri Municipality.
Since January 1, 2021, BHCH Foundation has been implementing the flagship project titled “Education Support and Scholarship Program”, supported by the Marlies Kornfeld Nepal Foundation. This initiative focuses on providing comprehensive educational opportunities to children from severely poor, marginalized, and disadvantaged families across Nepal. The program ensures not only schooling but also safe accommodation, life skills development, personal growth opportunities, and support for higher education.
The Foundation delivers its educational services primarily through Bright Horizon Children’s Home School (BHCHS), a well-established institution located in Matatirtha. The school runs classes from preschool to Grade 10. BHCH Foundation also facilitates the continuation of higher studies in various institutions around Kathmandu. BHCH aims to nurture children so they can achieve self-reliance, gain employable skills, and build meaningful careers.
BHCH Foundation maintains a harmonious relationship with the community, who benefit from the school environment. The Board of the Foundation also includes local representatives, ensuring that decisions mirror community needs and that challenges are resolved collaboratively, often with support from the respective ward office.
BHCH Foundation stands as a committed educational and social development organization striving to uplift Nepal’s most vulnerable children, enabling them to lead empowered, dignified, and self-determined lives.
